I am glad you enjoy his work – I can say that there is barely a recording or composition of his that does not convey “aching beauty.” I would recommend his soundtrack work (Henry May Long, Lore, Sarah’s Key, Perfect Sense and more) and his earlier conceptual albums like (24 Postcards, Songs from Before, Blue Notebooks, Memoryhouse) – all exquisite and great for inspiration/collaboration. And if not familiar – check out Nils Frahm, Nico Muhly, Olafur Arnalds – for fresh ambience in the same vein.
oh and also La Prima Linea soundtrack and Die Fremde…exceptional
